Victorian Charm Inn

J. A. Decker, a wealthy lumber baron and banker, built this impressive thirty-room home for his family in 1897. Over the years, we have carefully preserved many of the original features of this historic Queen Ann Victorian-style home, such as the large wrap-around porch, cut glass double entry, and unique cherry and oak woodwork. The third floor, originally a ballroom, was modified into guest rooms by the Mandeville Family in the early 1900s. As a result of the stock market crash, the home was converted into a bed and breakfast, to which we welcome you today.

Nice alternative accommodation to a run of the mill chain hotel. Clean room in amazing historic mansion right in town! Would have stayed to explore more of Towanda but weather in NJ was concern… Owners very helpful in giving directions and taking reservation.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The Inn has character and provided an adventure all in itself. Many thanks to Melinda for giving us a tour of the building and allowing us to poke our heads into several other rooms. Beautiful place and a lot of fun.
