Victorian Charm Inn

J. A. Decker, a wealthy lumber baron and banker, built this impressive thirty-room home for his family in 1897. Over the years, we have carefully preserved many of the original features of this historic Queen Ann Victorian-style home, such as the large wrap-around porch, cut glass double entry, and unique cherry and oak woodwork. The third floor, originally a ballroom, was modified into guest rooms by the Mandeville Family in the early 1900s. As a result of the stock market crash, the home was converted into a bed and breakfast, to which we welcome you today.

Stepping through the doors of this extraordinary Inn felt like traveling back in time to the gilded grace of 1897. Originally built as the private residence of a prosperous banker and lumberman, this stunning Victorian gem wears its storied history with effortless pride, and every detail reminds you that you are a guest in something truly special. Beyond its beauty, the Inn proved to be perfectly situated right along my travel route, making it an ideal and convenient overnight stop without any detour required. After a long day on the road, pulling up to that grand façade felt like a genuine reward.

We’ve stayed here for the last 3 years at Christmastime. Jared and Melinda always make our stay lovely and welcoming. The house feels like a 2nd home. We appreciate them and love staying at the Victorian Charm Inn!

Nice alternative accommodation to a run of the mill chain hotel. Clean room in amazing historic mansion right in town! Would have stayed to explore more of Towanda but weather in NJ was concern… Owners very helpful in giving directions and taking reservation.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The Inn has character and provided an adventure all in itself. Many thanks to Melinda for giving us a tour of the building and allowing us to poke our heads into several other rooms. Beautiful place and a lot of fun.
